Dr. Prabodh Satyal, Chief Scientific Officer of Aromatic Plant Research Center (APRC). He moved to the United States to pursue research in essential oils at the University of Alabama, where he received his MS, Ph.D. and post-doctoral in essential oil research. He has studied the chemical composition of more than fifteen thousand essential oils from various parts of the world, has published more than a hundred research articles in peer-reviewed journals.
He has played a significant role in establishing several essential oil databases and has spoken at ten reputable international conferences He is currently developing the first ever fully automated adulteration analysis software for GCMS that will identify the percentage of purity, origin and mixed sources in essential oils.

Mr. K. Vijayakumar an electrical Engineering graduate, Bangalore University, having family business in Perfumery, after graduation in 1971, acquired a Diploma in Perfumery from the Roure School of Perfumery, France, in the year 1976. His primary Company Vigirom Pvt. Ltd., is currently in a collaborative venture with the MG Fragrance Company, Turkey, manufacturing & distributing Fragrances, pan India, including a wide range of Aroma ingredients and raw materials.

Mr.Mario Di Lallo is the Head of Global Products for Quintis, the world’s largest grower of sandalwood (Santalum album) in plantation. Quintis grows more than 5.4 million sandalwood trees in Australia’s tropical north. For the past 11 years Mario has travelled the world learning more about this precious fragrant wood. He has extensive knowledge of the global sandalwood market, working with customers in India, Europe, USA, China and the Middle East. In 2013 Quintis began its first commercial harvests of sustainably-grown and ethically produced Santalum album. Mario leads product development and sales of sandalwood, working to forge a new future for this ancient ingredient.

Dr. Michael Zviely Ph.D. & Post-Doc at Hebrew University Jerusalem. He then headed a research group for TAMI (ICL) for ten years, and then spent eleven years at FRUTAROM as Global VP for Research, Development and Science. After that, he worked three years in China as the CTO for Research and Development of O’LAUGHLIN Corp. (Shanghai), specializing in aroma chemicals – flavor and fragrance ingredients, botanical extracts, cooling agents and UV sunscreen ingredients. Then as a Director at SDA SPICES board in Israel. This period was followed by three years as VP for Research and Development of VIRDIA Inc. (today STORAENSO, Finland) in Israel and in the USA, a company which develops lignocellulose originated bio-materials, mostly sugars. In parallel, he held a visiting Professorship at Jiangnan University, China for five years, and then he was the VP for Business Development at JIANGSU GS in China. Dr. Zviely published more than 20 patents, over 60 articles and chapters in monographs on flavors and fragrances, and numerous speeches and presentations at national and international events. Today Dr. Zviely is the CTO of HinokiLab in Japan, and a senior consultant on technology and strategy of specialty fragrance and flavour ingredients to companies in Israel, Europe, India, China and Japan.

Mr. Haim Schloss – The J.D. Schloss traditional Aromatherapy Centre was established in 1988 by my wife Tzippi and myself.
Back in 1979, in Germany, I have taken Aromatherapy studies, taught by Schonberger, who then mastered the field art. At that point, J.D. Schloss traditional aromatherapy centre had planted its first seeds.
Due to aromatherapy, my healthy immune system has come a long way, and ever since, I have been specializing in developing formulas of essential oils and natural essences, updating my knowledge day by day by attending Iseo, Ifat, Naha, AAI, collaborating with Israel’s volcanic institute, Healthcare centres and hospitals and 12 thousand practitioners.
My moto – Aromatherapy and essential oils are the proper means of a better healthier future to improve better life being.
Participating in the AAIC convention in Indonesia, earlier this year has been a very enthusiastic experience, enthusiasm which I carry within for the past forty years.

Mr. Ramesh Vaze Born in 1941. He completed his B. Sc in 1961 from Ruparel College (during college days he was Bombay university champion in boxing). After graduation in 1961, he joined family business of S. H. Kelkar & Co. The company recognised as best quality manufacturer of fragrances and aroma chemicals in India. Currently, he is managing director of the Kelkar group of companies. Company has expanded production sites in international market. In 1985 he became in charge of Keva Fragrances Pvt. ltd. a 100% export-oriented unit fully owned by S. H. Kelkar & Co. Ltd. He was instrumental in popularizing Keva brand in international market as a reliable quality supplier of fragrances. He is known as a reputed perfumer in his profession. He has brought automation in compounding of fragrances to India in 1994 which helps in better accuracy and faster manufacturing. This was the first automation plant of this type in our industry in India. S. H. Kelkar & Co. Pvt. Ltd. introduced plantation of aromatic plants (besides lemongrass) such as citronella since 1970 & and are also pioneers in plantation such as lavender, patchouli, geranium, vetivert etc.

Mr. Shakti Vinay Shukla, Director Fragrance & Flavour Development Centre Kannauj, Got B.Sc.(Hons.) in Chemistry & M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry) from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He also worked on vegetable oils at Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur.
He has more experience of more than 26 years in essential oils, fragrance & Flavour. He established Fragrance & Flavour division at FFDC & developed more than 300 formulations.
Self sustainability of FFDC has been achieved under his leadership. Number of short & long term courses has are running pan India. Has rendered international consultancy & Training to countries like Egypt, Rwanda, Kyrgyzstan, Italy, Indonesia, Bhutan, Senegal, Sri Lanka. He got Young Scientist Award from Govt of UP, UP Ratna & many more. He is member executive committee/task force to number of government institutions related to essential oils fragrance & flavour.

Prof. S. K. Barik, Director CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow is an accomplished ecologist. His works on impact of anthropogenic disturbances on plant species diversity and ecosystem functioning are widely recognized. He developed sustainable land use models as alternatives to shifting cultivation for Eastern Himalayas and North-eastern India.
He demonstrated the value addition technologies for important bioresources Particularly for production of turmeric oleoresin and oil at community level. Prof. Barik has published 100 research papers, 12 books and 40 technical and research reports. Many of his research papers are cited world-wide. He was selected as a LEAD Fellow by the Leadership in Environment and Development International, Rockefeller Foundation, USA in the year 2000.

Dr. Ram Vishwakarma, Director of Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine Jammu. Prior to joining IIIM, he worked (2005-2009) as Vice-President at Piramal Life Sciences, Mumbai on NCE discovery on cancer, inflammation drug-resistant infections. Prior to that, he was a staff-scientist at NII, New Delhi working on chemical-biology of GPI anchors. He did his Ph.D. from CDRI, Lucknow and post-doctoral work from University of Cambridge with Sir Alan Battersby FRS on biosynthesis of Vitamin B12. He has expertise in new drug discovery, medicinal chemistry, organic synthesis, chemical biology and glycol biology and has over 200 publications and 35 patents. He is an elected fellow of the National Academy of Sciences and was awarded Sun-Pharma (Ranbaxy) Research Award (2014) in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Mr. Sarath Babu PS presently the President of All India Agarbatti Manufacturers Association is BE in Electronics and Communication from Bangalore university and is a second generation entrepreneur. He runs his family agarbatti factory at Bangalore under name M/s Beeju Sugandhi Works.
Mr. Sarath with his two decades of experience in agarbatti industry has been ably guided by his father who started the factory way back in 1975. With specialization in masala, herbal and natural agarbathies there is a vast knowledge and all round know how about our industry. 47 year old Sarth has been actively involved in AIAMA from 2007. He headed as Vice President of AIAMA from 2013 to 2017 and became president in 2017.

He is an Outstanding Professor, Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research, New Delhi and Test Facility Management of the GLP-Toxicity Test Facility at CSIR-IITR. He served as Founding Director, Institute of Life Sciences (2012-2015) and Dean, Planning and Development, Ahmedabad University, Gujarat. Before joining as Director, CSIR-IITR, he worked as Scientist, Principal Scientist and Senior Principal Scientist at CSIR-IITR, Lucknow. He obtained his Ph.D. Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Lucknow, India in 1991 and was awarded D.Sc. Degree (h.c.) by the University of Bradford, U.K., 2017 in Life Sciences for his contributions in the area of nonmaterial and genetic toxicology. He has been a Visiting Scholar, Michigan State University, USA; BOYSCAST Fellow, University of Surrey, Wales & Bradford, UK. He has over 30 years of research experience in toxicology and has contributed significantly in the areas of in vitro-, genetic- and in silico toxicology. Dr. Nirpendra Chauhan, Director Centre for Aromatic Plants (CAP), Selaqui, Dehradun & CEO State Medicinal Plants Board (SMPB), Uttarakhand. Ph.D. Agronomy from H.N.B. Garhwal Central University & respectively. Assistant Director (Agronomy) in FFDC, Kannauj during 1999-2002 and Agriculture Research Officer in Pharmaceutical & Herbs Development Unit, Ranikhet, Govt. of UP during 1995-1999. His efforts led to establishment of CAP in 2002 and to bring it to its present status. He is also CEO, SMPB from December 2017.
He led a team of scientists and field workers to carry out field interventions for cultivating aromatic crops in abandoned/ unutilised lands covering more than 8000 hectare area and reaching to over 20,000 farmers in cluster approach.Contributed to development and implementation of farmer friendly policies and enabling mechanisms such as Minimum Support Price covering 23 essential oils, provision of subsidies for farmers on installation of field distillation units, cultivation of aromatic crops and its link with MGNREGS, quality certification, abolishing mandi tax on menthe etc. in Uttarakhand.
